Some years ago upon this earth men lived long after their birth And there were those who tried to see the father's face So to Enoc God did say come home with me and spend a day So in the twinkling of an eye ole' Enoc was changed Chorus He said come home with me my child come home and rest a little while Very soon the shadows of life will pass away Over there the Lamb is the Light Enoc's waiting for the light He went home to spend the day with the Son 2. Now one of these days before too long I will sing my very last song. And I will hear that Heavenly trumpet sound. Then I'll lose these earthly ties and I'll start moving toward the sky I'm going home to spend the day with the Son. |
