Each Hill That I Climb

1.
As I drove through the hills of that grand old side country
And I view all the beauty 'neath Heavens fair dome
Then I knew the same hand that made all this great beauty
Was the very same hand that is leading me home.

2.
David looked to those hills many long years before us
And declared from those hills he the strength did obtain.
Brother lift up your eyes to the hills just before you
And the steps strong and sure needed strength you will gain.

3.
On the far away hill Jesus suffered to save us
As He climbed the rough hill He was bearing His cross.
But now meekly thrown toward the top of that mountain.
Seemed se willing to die just to save us from loss.

Chorus
Each hill that I climb near'r to that city
Tho the last hill I climb my steps may be slow.
From the top of that hill I shall view that bright city.
And inside it's fair walls see the ones I love.
