1. I had a song of painful distress and shame. In a life I had no harmony. But when I experienced the power of Jesus, His love a sweet melody. Chorus Jesus is the reason why I sing. Jesus is the reason why I sing. I sing because I'm happy. I sing because I'm free. Jesus is the reason why I sing. 2.
