Dawn Of A New Day

Wandering in the darkness,
corridors of the unknown
discovering truths' harshness
my mind sometimes blown

This author has tried to imagine
what life in the garden was like
Much brighter than the dull sunshine
of earth today's eerie brine

Life in the garden was bliss,
pure; knowing eternal day
Void of demented serpents' hiss
until man was formed of the clay

How many million years
before man was swept to tears
when the earth began to turn
billions of lifetimes to burn

As the sin in the garden took place
time now measured as days
as the earth began her eternal foray
around the sun in perpetual journey

Hope of Abrahams progeny for a Messiah,
for their God to come, as prophesied by Isaiah,
to re-unite Israel, take back the throne
He would rule o'er the kingdom; alone.

Then the ages grew dark as her Messiah was tied
beaten, humiliated, and crucified
alone, bearing the sins of the world He died
caused by he who in the garden lied.

Three days later another flicker of hope arose
later the Promise was freely given among all those
who acknowledged the Savior, the Holyghost
three hundred years, and that glimmer was broke

Another promise downed with lies of the deceiver
beat and burned, killing all receivers
man, twice dead and pluckt up by the roots
wandered in the darkness by satans' rotten fruit

Salvation bought and paid for by the great I Am
rejected by man who cast aside the Lamb
Many longing for a drink to refresh
from the sin their lives enmeshed

Then in the latter times it came
a Refreshing, called the Latter Rain
The Holy Ghost was poured out again
man was again reconciled, discarding sins reign

The Light turned night into day
and revealed again, God's only way
From His precious Fountain, living water drawn
eternal day is come, an eternal dawn

Without complete understanding
we live in Him by our faith
As once again He's revealing
the Dawn Of A New Day
