The stillness of a church
in the wee hours of the morning
can nullify the deep lingering hurts
and help still the mourning

Of a life laid to waste
and give a life giving taste
of such heavenly bliss
that comes from the Spirit: His

Oh what glory and rapture
mortal prose can't explain the cure
of the healing of hurts of life
an outlook vision so bright

Just a moment in quiet repose
can grant you strength for the day
when you let Him hold you close
and guide you on lifes way

So easily to ask and receive
He'll grant you long reprieve
giving a long life's lease
through His Heavenly Peace
