I was a sittin Sunday at a popular eatin' place
on the telly was the Packers of Green Bay
they didn't mind the scrimmage or lack of grace
for each important play, instant replay was given place

Well, this morning I got up just a thinkin'
how the battle for Jericho must have went
bravado of the people must have been wiltin'
when they learned of the spies that were sent

Fear rocked their very soul
as they watched from behind solid bole
recounting the mighty battles won by Gods' hand
for His people - all through distant land

Then the thought struck me square
I wonder, if they have instant replay up there
I'm sure hoping they do
I want to see how certain things did ensue

I'd like to see the instant replay on Jericho
the walls, fear, marching, fall, and in they go
the battle fearsome; historical battle grand
as the blood flowed freely into the sand

Each and every battle and miracle that was fought
each and every life scene - I could be there
and witness the ferocity with which they fought
all the workings seen in person - of every affair

How Rahab, by a single scarlet cord had been saved
the promise delivered upon by the spies
by Achan, by items taken, the next victory was waived
as he treated Gods' command as lies

The smashing defeat at Ai
the drawing of the lot
the sin causing many to die
Achan and family killed on the spot

Battle after battle marching through God's Word
each story, each miracle, each scene
no detail or part of each will be blurred
every move throughout history will be seen

Can you imagine in your minds' eye
how the universe came into being
the sin in the garden which started mans cry
the troubles and woe, from sin fleeing

The completion of Salvation on the Cross
as Christ showed the enemy who's boss
how He arose from the dead after three days
and our road from destruction was paved

The history of the church and saints
the day of Pentecost when His Spirit was given
no more under sin do we faint
no more from Gods' presence to be driven

We'll see how He folded the napkin and laid it aside
when He arose from the grave and walked outside
Oh how I want to see it all in replay
as God conquered sins doomsday

Scenes from the entire Word of God
are imagined - but by nature are flawed
I'll understand Gods numerous multiples of seven
a million times - via the Instant Replay Of Heaven
