Sometimes down here I get so frustrated
trying to describe His glory, and what He created
Mortal tongue cannot His greatness portray
nor justice to His majesty pay

How do I tell of His Glory?
How do I describe the Creator of the universe?
Attempting with tongue of clay His story
No!  With words of human origin - averse

Even with the tongue of angels?  Nay!
there has to be some lofty way!
To at least praise Him and lift Him up
Alleluia!! Magnified, - He fills my cup

Over and over again and again
I utter in His Own Words this refrain
Of the promise given in Isaiah 9:6
Unto us a son is given, unto us a son is born

And the government on his shoulder borne
and His Name shall be called . . . .
Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God
the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace

God, a son did not need
but He did need a lamb;
Flesh that would bleed
pure blood, from the house of Abraham

For a Spirit hath not flesh and blood,
a holy Son we did not need, we needed a Sacrifice
with blood more pure than Adams blood
which could save us from sin and vice.

And it came, through the body He donned
of a virgin, out of the house of David spawned
How to describe One so great as Jesus?
Just call Him Jesus, the Wonderful and Only - Mighty God!
