Jesus, the Well of Living Waters
fleshly body of the one, true, Almighty God
Creator of heaven and the universe
grew weary as on this earth He trod
The flesh was like that of any other but different
with human feelings, it hungered, thirsted, tired
Sat resting on the well deliberate
Water of the Samaritan desired
She exclaimed "Jew asking me? How could this thing be?
"If thou knew the Gift of God, you'd ask of me"
"You?" she asked. "You have no wherewiths to give me drink!
Are you greater than Jacob who this well did sink?"
"Whoso drinketh of this water shall thirst again
"If you had asked, I'd give you living water"
Jesus then did such wisdom impart
of things in her own heart
Realizing just Who He was,
hurriedly left her pots by the well
"Come see a man, the Messiah, hear His cause"
her household she happily did tell
This woman was no doubter
and gained something for a lifetime to tell
When she found the Master
the day the Well sat on the well
