When you stand before His face
Him Who provided such Amazing Grace
will you be able to stand before His gaze?
or fall as dead, bound by sin's disgrace?

A popular song speaks blindly of this event
a song written of such good intent,
unknowing of scripture, which was written
by John the Revelator, who himself was smitten

A man who'd lived long for God so true
marooned on an island yet seeing through
by the brightness of God's holy light
fell down as by deaths' deadly blight

Then raised up to see what God had in store
for those who'd lived for Him on His bright shore
so for someone to sing "will I dance in His prescence"
and still living in sins' vile essence

Is damnedable to say the very least
for the Word says all will bow, every knee
and confess, all your sins, evil thoughts and deeds
so today, while you can still change your creed

Be washed in His Name, for there is no other way
call on His Name, it can save your soul today
for when you are called to answer questions - His
